ACRO– This Cirque du Soleil inspired workshop focuses on basic gymnastics, flexibility and strength tied together with dance and music. Mats required. Workshop suitable for primary and junior grades.

ACTING 101– This workshop helps students explore how to use their voice, body and emotion to bring a character to life. By the end of this workshop, students will have basic tools to help them lift a character off the page and put it on the stage. Workshop suitable for junior, intermediate and senior grades.

ADVANCED SHAKESPEARE– Students will be coached on performing some of Shakespeare’s most famous scenes. Students work to physicalize language sequences in order to bring them to a better understanding of the strength of Shakespeare’s poetry and imagery. Workshop suitable for intermediate and senior grades.

AESOP’S FABLES– Using drama and movement, students will transform themselves into animals as they explore the moral aspects of the world’s most famous fables. Workshop suitable for primary and junior grades.

BALLET – This workshop will pair your students with one of our professional instructors for a challenging and inspiring class.  This is an advanced workshop, suitable for senior grades with previous ballet dance training.

BALLROOM DANCE – Why not turn your gym into a world class ballroom?  These partner dances are enjoyed socially and competitively around the world.  Choose from a variety of styles, including the Waltz, the Paso Doble, the Quickstep, the Jive or the Tango.  Workshop suitable for junior, intermediate and senior grades.

BOLLYWOOD– In this colourful and high energy workshop, students will have a true Bollywood dance experience, complete with drama, facial expressions and fun! Workshop suitable for junior, intermediate and senior grades.

BUILDING CONFIDENCE THROUGH ACTING – Using drama, this workshop helps to build stage presence, increase self-esteem and take the nerve out of public speaking. Workshop suitable for all grades.

CARDIO KICK-BOXING– Students will love this high energy kick boxing workout. They’ll increase power, strength and agility while learning new moves. Workshop suitable for junior, intermediate and senior grades.

CHRISTMAS FUN – We offer a variety of “holiday inspired” dance routines, perfect for Winter holiday themed events or concerts.  Workshop suitable for all grades.

COMEDY IMPROV – This fun, active and spontaneous workshop utilizes improvisation exercises and theatre games to helps students sharpen their ability to think quickly and work as a team. Students will gain confidence, take risks and tap into creative humour. Workshop suitable for junior, intermediate and senior grades.

CONTACT IMPROVISATION – A workshop that explores improvised movement between two or more moving bodies, focusing on gravity, relationships, space and momentum. Workshop suitable for senior grades.

CONTEMPORARY DANCE – Students will likely recognize this style from “So You Think You Can Dance”.  This dance style departs from classical technique; omitting form and structure.  The result is an innovative and often abstract movement style.  Workshop suitable for intermediate and senior grades.

CREATIVE DANCE – Limited only by their imaginations, students explore various ways to move their bodies through space and time. Based on the Laban Technique, this workshop guides students to use their bodies to interpret music, poetry, images and much more. Workshop suitable for primary and junior grades.

DANCE CRAZES FROM THE 50s & 60s< – The Watusi, The Pony, the Twist, Shake a Tail Feather…Mashed Potatoe! Students will love exploring the dance crazes of the 50s & 60s in this high energy and fun workshop. Workshop suitable for all grades.

DANCING FOR TELEVISION – This workshop focuses on popular TV movie choreography and on what it takes to perform on television. Workshop suitable for junior, intermediate and senior grades.

DISCO– The Hustle, The Bus Stop…Saturday Night Fever! This energetic and fast-paced workshop is sure to delight. Students will explore various disco dance crazes and will then be taught a combination, which they can take home with them to practice. Workshop suitable for all grades.

ECO-DANCE – This cross-curricular workshop brings dance, drama and science together. Through movement and drama, students will explore the four seasons, the life cycle of a butterfly, the planting of a garden and the relationship between a bee and a flower. Workshop suitable for primary grades.

FOLK DANCE– This workshop explores various European social dances, including Irish dance, Sword dance and Square dance. Specific dance styles are dependent on the instructor’s expertise. Workshop suitable for all grades.

FOLK TALES FROM AROUND THE WORLD – Students will bridge the gap between cultures by exploring and performing folk tales from around the world. Workshop suitable for primary and junior grades.

FOR TEACHERS ONLY – In this interactive and highly participatory workshop, teachers will explore a variety of valuable drama, dance and movement lessons. JAZZ DANCE – This style is influenced by a variety of other dance forms, including (but not limited to) ballet, modern, hip hop and lyrical.  Technique is the foundation for this style.  This is an advanced workshop, suitable for senior grades with prior jazz dance training.

KINDERGARTEN FUN – This dance workshop was created exclusively for JK and SK students!  Your students will love learning a fun and imaginative routine, while strengthening their motor development and coordination skills.  Teachers can choose from a variety of routines exploring colours, shapes, sounds and familiar characters!  Workshop suitable for JK and SK students.

 LATIN DANCE – This workshop focuses on the basic footwork, styles and partnering of Salsa, Samba, Cambia and Afro-Cuban. Your students will be burning up the dance floor in no time! Workshop suitable for junior, intermediate and senior grades.

LET’S MAKE BELIEVE: DRAMA AND IMAGINATION– Climbing mountains, swimming in the sea and fending off dragons are just a few of the things students will do in this workshop. Aiming to unlock imaginations, this workshop is full of valuable drama games, exercises and role play activities. Workshop suitable for primary and junior grades.

LINE DANCING – For decades, line dancing has been a large part of many social scenes, from weddings to social clubs to ballrooms worldwide.  With the focus being on unison movement and the individual, your students will learn a variety of popular line dances, including the “Cha Cha Slide”, “The Hustle” and the “Boot Scootin’ Boogie”.  Workshop suitable for all grades.

MEXICAN HAT DANCE – The “Jarabe Tapatio”, known in English as the “Mexican Hat Dance”, is known as the “National Dance of Mexico”.  Students will love learning this energetic folk dance, which celebrates the national pride of the Mexican people.  Workshop suitable for kindergarten and primary grades.

ONCE UPON A TIME: BRINGING FAIRY TALES TO LIFE – Princesses, dwarfs…wicked step sisters! Using classic fairy tales, students explore characterization, emotion and performance. Each workshop shows students how to step into a fairy tale and bring it to life. Workshop suitable for primary grades.

PUTTING YOUR BEST FOOT FORWARD – In this fun and interactive workshop, students will improve their presentation skills by tackling the toughest parts of speaking in front of others. SHAKESPEARIENCE!– This workshop takes the fear out of Shakespeare, by familiarizing students with dramatic devices used in plays.
