GA NOTES – You can choose whichever content you’d like to cover so long as it’s in line with our Canadian Dance Series outline. Please connect with Toni at director@travellingstage.com once you select your material. The sessions will take place in the school gym. The SK to Grade 5 classes listed above are French Immersion and the Grades 6-8 classes are Extended French. YOU MUST TEACH THIS PROGRAM IN FRENCH.

GA NOTES – Artist should teach one International dance for each classroom. These need to be two different dances and styles. You will work with each class on the routine, which will be presented on May 19 for school parents and community. Therefore, there will be 2 dances in the end. Artist does not need to attend the final presentation. The school would like to use the outdoor space for this activity. If there is rain, they have an extra room that we can use instead.

Parent Showcases: Tuesday, July 25th and Thursday, August 17th (artist to be in attendance to facilitate)
NOTES: Leadership Group (ages 13-14) will be included in a different way. IE: Narrators, Set Designers, Producers, etc.
OBJECTIVE: A Travelling Stage Artist in Summer Residence will oversee the creation and execution of musical presentations (two artists working simultaneously at two locations). Daily instruction will include dance, vocal music, musical theater and drama all in the preparation of a final culminating task for parents. Parent Showcases will take place on Tuesday, July 25th and Thursday, August 17th. Artist will be in attendance to facilitate. Once finalized we will set up a meeting between Artist in Summer Residence, Program Coordinator and Toni to make sure we are all on the same page before the program begins in terms of content, instruction, logistics and the inclusion of the 13-14 year old leadership campers. Travelling Stage to pre-select 4 production numbers which we will work on for the July showcase at each location and 4 production numbers which we will work on for the August showcase at each location. Travelling Stage to source tracks, which we will distribute to the center so that campers can take them home to practice with.
