Virtual After School Clubs

After school clubs provide a social outlet for students to connect with others and to learn new skills. All of our Clubs are led by enthusiastic, energetic and well-established Travelling Stage teachers. There are no more than 12 students in any of our clubs, which allows for lots of individualized attention.

All After School Clubs are 6 weeks long. Durations and pricing vary. See below.

Fairy Tale Club (ages 5-8)

Participants will be greeted by a Fairy Tale character (a different character each class), who will engage in song, dance and dramatic play with them! Fairy Tale characters will be played by professional actors.

Broadway Musical Theatre Club (ages 8-12)

We’ll focus on different musicals each class, starting with an overview of the plot line, characters and major songs. Participants will learn a song and dance from each musical as well as participate in character exploration and scene work from the show. The teaching artist will also speak to their own professional experience of performing in musicals. Slides and video clips will be included to illustrate various songs, dances and key plot points. Props, sets and costumes for the show will also be explored and discussed. Musicals will include: Annie, Wizard of Oz, Lion King, Frozen, Wicked and Aladdin.

Improv Club (ages 9-12)

Participants will have an absolute hoot during this improv program taught by a well-established Canadian improv teacher and coach. Improv warm ups, games and scene work make this a club that students will want to participate in again and again.

Participants will have an absolute hoot during this improv program taught by a well-established Canadian improv teacher and coach. Improv warm ups, games and scene work make this a club that students will want to participate in again and again.

Kindness & Hearts Club (ages 7-11)

Led by a certified yoga and mindfulness instructor, this club offers participants an opportunity to participate in yoga, mindfulness, artistic projects and exciting kindness initiatives over the course of the program.

Multi-Style Dance Club (ages 8-12)

This 6 week dance program will include instruction in a wide variety of dance styles. Learners do not need previous dance experience to participate in this program.
Class 1 – Introductions & an exploration of body, space, time and dynamics through creative movement.
Class 2 – An introduction to Jazz dance (learners will understand the background of the style and participate in choreography)
Class 3 – An introduction to Hip Hop dance (learners will understand the background of the style and participate in choreography)
Class 4 – An introduction to Contemporary ballet dance (learners will understand the background of the style and participate in choreography)
Class 5 – An introduction to International dance styles (learners will understand the background of the style and participate in choreography)
Class 6 – An introduction to dance trends from 2000-2020 (learners will understand the background of the style and participate in choreography)
